Kourtney Kardashian Says She’s Happiest “When I Get the F–k Away” From Family—“Specifically” Kim

Kourtney Kardashian Barker is thinking about the f-word: Family.

Oh, and the other f-word too. Both of the f-words, together. And fashion! Make that three fs. 

On the season 4 premiere episode of The Kardashians, airing Thursday, Kourtney made it clear that the hatchet with sister Kim Kardashian over a collaboration with a fashion house was anything but buried. On a tense phone call with Kim, when she asked if Kourtney was happy, the elder sister responded, “Yes, but not when I’m on the phone with you.” Later, she said, “I have a happy life and that happiness comes when I get the fuck away from you guys. Specifically you.”

Kim got in some zingers of her own, saying that Kourtney’s friends had turned to her to talk about her sister.

“All of your friends call us complaining,” she said. “Whether you think they’re the ones going to you, they’re all coming to us on the side, saying the opposite to us. We’re all confused, and we’re on a group chat labeled ‘Not Kourtney’ so we know, and have to funnel what your friends are saying to us, and have to figure out why you’re such a different person and why you have this vendetta.”

That vendetta, by the way, is over a fashion collaboration. Who among us? Kourtney, who married Travis Barker in a May 2022 ceremony in Italy while wearing a Dolce & Gabbana archival gown, felt that Kim’s collaboration with the brand six months later was an attention-stealing stunt. Kourtney and Barker are currently expecting their first child together.

“You saw this thing that was mine and it wasn’t yours and you wanted it,” Kourtney said.

In a meta moment, the sisters each admitted in separate confessional shots that their reality show only fueled the drama, picking the scab off old wounds when they looked back at old footage. For example, Kourtney bailed on a family vacation because she got mad at Kim all over again while watching an edit of an episode.

“What’s harder than living it is watching it back in the edit, which isn’t a natural way of living,” she said. “So my whole family is going on a trip to Cabo but three days earlier, before the trip, Kim and I have this heated phone call.”

Kim, too, said that watching the edits “brings up so many feelings.”

The heated phone call between the two eventually boiled over and the sisters reached an understanding, but not before Kourtney delivered grades of F to her sister a few more times.

“It’s you and my friends and my kids and everyone against me,” she accused. “You’re just a fucking witch and I fucking hate you.”
